Short Fiction Week on 40K - Why I read and write Short Stories

I have been writing and reading short stories for years because I am lazy, I don’t want to know that much about a character and they are perfect taking one subway stop to the next… The true reason is because I relate to characters such as outcasts, misfits, crazies, weirdos or simply people who are left behind. Identifying with one of these, I get a better sense of what a life is about. It is about choice one can or can’t make and its outcome.
